Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pay Official Visit to Turkey

(MENAFN) Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is set to visit Türkiye on Thursday at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to a statement from Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.

During the visit, the two leaders will co-chair the fourth meeting of the Türkiye-Uzbekistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara, reviewing measures to deepen bilateral cooperation. Several agreements designed to strengthen the contractual framework of relations between the two countries are also expected to be signed.

Erdogan and Mirziyoyev will discuss regional and international developments in addition to bilateral matters.

As part of the visit, a live video link ceremony will mark the inauguration of housing units in Hatay province, built with Uzbekistan’s support following the February 2023 earthquakes, the statement noted.
